We are deep into working on the Christmas section of the book.  For those of you who knew her, it’s no surprise that Christmas was very special to Mom.  You could not prepare enough and those preparations were the celebration.  Lynn just posted this yummy photo of chocolate peppermint creams and I am so wishing there weren’t 500 miles between us!   I want some! Christmas also brings bitter sweet memories of those we celebrated with and now have gone from our presence.

This is a photo of Dad, of course, but also a dear friend Maude who was not actually a member of the family by blood, but definitely by heart.
